On the Doorstep
Room to run. Views to remember.
One acre of shared garden stretches across level lawn, with panoramic views over the Conwy Valley to the Carneddau mountain range beyond.
There are no internal fences between the two cottage patios or lawn areas. This is intentional – uninterrupted sightlines mean you can sit with your morning coffee and watch your dog roam from one end of the garden to the other.
The outer boundary is rural stock fencing (wooden posts with wire mesh), and the driveway gate remains open for easy access. We recommend supervising your dog, particularly if they’re inclined to wander or have a strong prey drive. We’re surrounded by working farmland, with sheep and cattle nearby.
The garden is shared between Fig Tree and Laurel. When both cottages are occupied, your dog may have some four-legged company. Many dogs love the social aspect; others prefer their own space – something to bear in mind when booking.

The Essentials
A fresh water bowl will be waiting for them on arrival, and we’ve placed a nearby waste bin in the courtyard for your convenience.
“Being dog friendly was important for us as we brought our labrador – the grounds were huge and safe for him to explore – he had a great time!”

Keeping Everyone Comfortable
We want all our guests, two-legged and four, to have a relaxing time. To keep the cottages lovely for everyone, we just have four simple house rules.
- Keep dogs off furniture and beds - we know those sofas are tempting! Feel free to bring your dog's own bed to keep them comfortable.
- Never leave dogs unattended in the cottage - your dog must be supervised at all times while in the cottage or garden. This is for their safety, the comfort of other guests and to prevent any damage or distress.
- Keep dogs on a lead in the shared courtyard - please keep your dog on a lead here out of courtesy to other guests.
- Clean up after your dog - please clear all dog mess from the garden and patios before you leave. A waste bin is provided in the courtyard.
